The Department of Nutrition & Dietetics was first established in the year 1985. Together with the Department of Food Technology (http://food.teithe.gr), they form the School of Food Technology & Nutrition.
The main aim of the Department is educating and training students in applied Nutrition & Dietetics. Alongside its educational activities, the Department is also involved in technological research in a number of areas such as Nutrition surveys, Nutritional assessment of several population groups, Food Allergens, Food Analysis, Expert systems in Nutrition and Nutritional Biochemistry.
The Department consists of three Divisions:
- The Division of Nutrition & Dietetics
- The Division of General Studies and
- The Division of Food Science & Nutrition.
